Technical Advisors – Sustainable Finance Advisor
Chemonics International Inc., a Washington DC based global consulting firm, with over 35 years of experience implementing development programs for various donors, primarily working with USAID, is recruiting mid- and senior-level professionals for an anticipated USAID-funded Sustainable Fisheries program. Based in Bangkok with satellite offices in Indonesia and the Philippines, the potential program’s goal is to increase the ability of regional fisheries organizations to conserve marine biodiversity and combat Illegal, Unreported, and Unregulated (IUU) fishing in the Asia-Pacific region. This proposed five-year activity focuses on implementing a fishery catch documentation and certification system in order to improve food security and fisheries management. The program will liaise heavily with the private sector, working with actors from across the seafood value chain in both domestic and international markets.
Sustainable Finance Advisor will engage the private sector involved in the fisheries value chain, including but not limited to: fishers, fishing companies, seafood processors, seafood exporters retailers, etc. and identify external investment funds for project activities.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business.
Minimum 5 years of relevant technical experience on a donor-funded projects; experience with USAID preferred.
Demonstrated experience designing linkages between public and private sector in fisheries and seafood.
English proficiency, both spoken and written.
Thai citizenship preferred.
