Manager, Marketing & Communications | Invesco (Hong Kong) Limited

Job Purpose:

The candidate will work closely with various internal/external groups (sales, product, and compliance, creative agency) to position Invesco as a preferred asset manager and thought-leader through thoughtful implementation of institutional marketing activities in Asia ex Japan. The role should develop and maintain an expert knowledge of channels within the Institutional market and the distribution opportunities within it.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement effective marketing activities and provide necessary support (above-the-line, below-the-line, online, events, media relations) for institutional business.

  • Develop, build and utilize strong digital marketing skills and techniques, to maximize content distribution and reporting.

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal business partners across marketing, product, sales, compliance and client relations.

  • Responsible for planning and organizing Invesco organized events, coordinating relevant industry conferences and making sure appropriate use of sponsorship budget.

  • Initiate, originate and deliver high-quality marketing communication and thought leadership campaigns. Working with internal marketing & distribution teams and external partner agency resource (as required).

  • Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of the institutional market place, including the evolving market structure and dynamics, regulatory and political factors, competitor landscape and associated client needs/requirements

Work Experience / Knowledge:

  • 6-8 years work experience in marketing at asset management industry, institutional marketing a plus.

  • Proven marketing campaign management experience, including but not limited to above-the-line, below-the-line, online, events and media relations. 

  • Knowledge of investment products required.

  • Strong digital marketing experience including SEO, SEM and analytics. Experience in CRM and marketing automation to effectively drive business.


    Specialized Skills:

  • Understands integrated marketing- prepare marketing plans, agency briefs, using data to drive strategy, etc.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin).

  • Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as to handle multiple concurrent assignments, work independently, and assume personal responsibility for deliverables

  • Ability to effectively manage new projects, existing maintenance, shifting priorities, and multiple tasks

  • Ability to adhere to deadlines while managing multiple projects
