Associate Director of Advancement, Alumnae Relations and Marketing | Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart


Woodlands Academy is seeking an Associate Director of Advancement in Alumnae Relations and Marketing.  The Associate Director is responsible for all touchpoints with our alumnae and past parent constituencies which account for almost 90% of our active database.  This position will work directly with the Director of Development to plan strategic communications and activities to engage this population to maintain and increase relationships and donor participation with Woodlands Academy.  Woodlands Academy believes that a multicultural perspective is an essential element of a 21st century education, and values diversity in its student body, faculty, and staff. 

Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart is one of 24 Sacred Heart schools in the United States and Canada.  Sacred Heart education at Woodlands Academy is distinctive and emphasizes best practices for the education of girls and innovative practices for academic excellence.  Established in 1858, the school forms global citizens and transforms young women through a dynamic of relationships that responds to the dignity of each member of the school community.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward, in coordination with the Director of Development, alumnae and past parents to increase support and participation in the Woodlands Fund
  • Create and execute an annual alumnae relations plan designed to assist the school in advancing its mission and achieving its strategic and fundraising goals
  • Plan, promote, manage, and assess all alumnae events
  • Manage an active and effective Alumnae Board
  • Monitor alumnae giving and prepare regular updates and reports as requested for Board of Trustees presentations
  • Increase communications to and connections with our international alumnae, especially in Mexico and Asia
  • Oversee alumnae and past parent database records
  • Plan and oversee all fundraising marketing and Alumnae Relations communications
  • Manage and create content for all Advancement digital communications
  • Stay current with changes in all social media platforms and digital marketing trends

Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to, supporting the goals of the Advancement Department, and other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and 2-4 years of experience in Development, Alumnae Relations, Marketing, or equivalent experience
  • Support, implement, and model the Goals and Criteria for Sacred Heart Schools
  • Ability to manage a variety of projects with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge and/or NXT software
