How to Use Indeed Resume to Find Great Candidates
Posting a job listing to attract candidates is a great way to find talent when you’re looking to fill a position. But that’s only one way to find job seekers; with Indeed Resume, you can search for candidates who meet your hiring criteria, and reach out to begin the conversation.
When you use Indeed resume, you don’t have to wait for candidates to come to you. You can use the “what” and “where” fields to narrow the search results for candidates. You can even search for people who have worked at specific companies, those with certain certifications, titles, or language fluency.
Find quality candidates instantly
As you begin to type in your search, you’ll start to see results; you’ll immediately be able to see if your search will return any job seekers who match your criteria. If you don’t get the results you want, type in another term or set of terms. When you see search results appear, you can hover your mouse over any of the resumes to get a quick preview—this will let you know if you’re on the right track. Of course, you can click any of the search results to display the candidate’s entire resume at any time.
Refine your search results to filter candidates
You can refine your search results by using the items on the left side of the screen to filter by locations, years of experience, education level, job titles, or companies—and you can even change the radius of your search to include candidates who live nearer or farther away from your location.
Sign up for resume email alerts
Once you’ve configured your search criteria the way you want them, you can receive a daily or weekly email with a list of new candidates who meet the conditions you set. On every search results page you’ll see a link called Get new jobs for this search by email; click the link, and you’re set. You’ll receive the email at the specified interval.
You can share, save and download resumes as part of your selection process. You can share a candidate resume with a colleague by clicking the “Share” button on the right of any resumes. You can save resumes to review later; those will be clearly labeled in search results and are also visible on your personal “Saved Resumes” page. And, you can download a resume in PDF format with a single click to save to your files or applicant tracking system.
If your company has more than one recruiter who uses Indeed to search for candidates, you can link and manage accounts to administer access, budget per recruiter, usage per recruiter and more.
