Software Architect – Amadeus Asia Ltd.

Within Travel Channels, TCO (Travel Channels Customer Operations) unites all world-wide activities related to transversal product management, delivery services and customer services, therefore playing a key role in all the steps of the customer relationship:
from the acquisition of the customer (Product Management / Construction Domains), to adoption (Delivery) and then retention (Customer Services).

Business Environment:

In Delivery Services (TDS), we are responsible for the implementation of the Amadeus Solutions, as well as the Consulting and Program management for our Travel Channels customers. We aim to design the right level of serviceability for these solutions and
industrialize our delivery practice worldwide in order to meet segments’ pipeline objectives.

 The Delivery Services group is composed of the following entities: 4 Delivery Segments, mapping the customer segments (Retail, Online, Business Travel and Corporations), 4 Delivery Domains which are our poles of expertise, and 1 transversal team.

 Bespoke Services provides consulting, development, customization and integration services around the Amadeus Point of Sale, Travel Agency Automation platforms and Amadeus WebServices.  With an objective of generating non-booking revenue for Amadeus, Bespoke
Services needs talent people, motivated, skilled and flexible with a strong innovative asset.

Purpose:

The architect acts as a software development engineer with additional responsibilities. He/she defines, drives and maintains software architecture with respect to customer requirements and company’s objectives for a given system or subsystem.

Key accountabilities:

On top of software development engineer activities (user requirements definition, technical solution design and coding, testing, software solutions debugging…) the architect:

 – Communicates / is the interface between several internal stakeholders

– Is responsible for software architecture throughout the lifecycle development taking into consideration system constraints and enterprise architecture strategic directions

– Directs and coordinates software architecture studies for their functional area

– Is responsible for the development lifecycle and the development platform for their functional area

– Identifies modelling, simulation and prototyping opportunities

– Provides knowledge on state-of-the art software architecture, taking future developments into account

– Articulates the design to the development teams

– Selects appropriate design standards, methods and tools

– Contributes to the architect community, educates, studies options, and recommends evolutions

– Directs and coordinates software architecture studies for their functional area

– Identifies modelling, simulation and prototyping opportunities

– Provides knowledge on state-of-the art software architecture, taking future developments into account

– Articulates the design to the development teams

– Selects appropriate design standards, methods and tools

– Contributes to the architect community, educates, studies options, and recommends evolutions
