Vice President – Marketing and Communication Manager | BNY Mellon Investment Management

Bank of New York Mellon Investment Management, which is the umbrella name for all the investment management subsidiaries and affiliates within Bank of New York Mellon, currently has a presence in 5 countries in Asia Pacific, namely Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Korea and Australia. The company also targets and services clients and distribution channels in other Asia Pacific countries (e.g. China, Taiwan).

This position, the Marketing and Communication Manager, will provide marketing support across APAC ex Japan and include but is not limited to:

  • Work closely with the CEO of Investment Management APAC ex Japan and Regional Marketing Manager to identify and implement both strategic and tactical business, sales and marketing initiatives to increase market share.
  • Provide robust analytical support to identify/prioritize customer opportunities, develop successful selling strategies and build distinct value propositions.
  • Execute institutional market research through application of best practices, vendor management and integration across the sectors.
  • Develop systems and processes to support marketing and selling efforts.
  • Plan, manage and deliver the campaigns targeting the direct market.
  • Manage the delivery of central projects or enhancement of existing marketing processes.


  • Requires a minimum of 7 years experience within the financial services arena in a marketing role.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) required.
  • Market research techniques, methodologies, and market modeling practices and ability to integrate market research results with business planning activities and communications development.
  • Marketing analytics, establishment and refinement of ongoing measurement and analysis programs.
  • Project management skills, to ensure successful implementations requiring integration of efforts from multiple constituencies within The Bank of New York Mellon.
  • Development/maintenance of databases as well as the integration of research and database findings into the market planning process.
  • Knowledge of contact management, account planning, and other automated sales force effectiveness tools.
  • Financial analysis to include pricing strategies, transfer pricing and discount allocation methodologies.
  • Development/engineering of efficient and effective business processes and product development experience is a plus.
  • Excellent written and public speaking skills; as well as outgoing, professional and confident personality would be preferred.
